My name is Julie and I began my yoga journey in my late thirties.  I started to practice yoga for my health and weight loss.  I have struggled all my life with my weight and self confidence.  During my years of practicing yoga I have lost weight, gained it back and lost it again.  I have had physical issues that have forced me to step back and re-evaluate my yoga practice.

Along the way I decided to get my 200 RYT (Registered Yoga Teacher) to enhance my practice and learn more about the origins and history of yoga.  Two years after completing my 200 RYT, I decided to create my own yoga organization.  Om Yoga Kalamazoo began February 21, 2017.

My goal is to make yoga accessible for anyone.  Whether you are suffering from a physical limitation, or depression, or grieving, or have an addiction, yoga can help you physically, emotionally and spiritually.  Yoga truly is for everyone!
