I have made some changes to the schedule for 2018!
Wednesday nights starting January 10 will be chair yoga from 6:30-7:30 pm. Chair yoga focuses on doing poses using a chair for a prop. The format of this class is to start out seated to warm up the arms, legs and spine, stand up for balancing and gentle movements, sit down for cool down seated svasana.
Saturday mornings starting January 6 will be gentle/yin yoga from 10:30-11:30 am. This class will be divided into two parts. The first part of class will be slower, gentle yoga poses. We’ll take our time moving from one pose to another to be able to feel the pose more deeply. We will end class with yin poses that are held for 3-5 minutes. The yin portion will use props to help support the body while holding the pose.
Other classes that I am working on for 2018: Adding more yoga nidra classes. Yoga nidra is a relaxing sleep meditation. Also aqua yoga. Yoga in a swimming pool! No fear of falling as the water will support you. That support can help you stretch your muscles and find more flexibility.
I’m also open to any ideas you may have! If you have a style of yoga you like or a time that you prefer, please let me know! I am flexible (no pun intended)!
